Kickboxing
Our Kickboxing syllabus is a Japanese based freestyle system including punches, kicks and knees to the head legs and body. It features a strong clinch fighting syllabus including striking, catching, transitioning, escaping and sweeping/tripping techniques plus more making it suitable for any style of striking competition or practice. This style of kickboxing can be seen on promotions such as Enfusion, Rise & KO. It offers greater depth of continuous techniques/action as opposed to more limited styles of kickboxing.
The UKSA has 3 classes of participation in all rulesets/formats making it accessible, suitable at any level.
C-Class: Punches, kicks and knees to the body and legs only. Catching of kicks and knees leading to strikes to the body and legs and/or sweeping techniques are permitted. Clinching permitted leading into strikes to the body and legs along with sweeping techniques.
B-Class: Punches and kicks to the head body and legs. Knees to the body and legs only. Catching of kicks and knees leading to strikes to the body and legs and/or sweeping techniques are permitted. Clinching permitted leading into strikes to the body and legs along with sweeping techniques.
A-Class: Punches, kicks and knees to the head body and legs. Catching of kicks and knees leading to strikes to the body and legs and/or sweeping techniques are permitted. Clinching permitted leading into strikes to the body and legs along with sweeping techniques.
Clinching should be allowed to continue as long as the fighters are actively, striking, working to sweep, transitioning to a new position or escaping.
There no limits to the amount of strikes permitted when a kick or knee is caught or when clinching so long as the fighters are working.

UK Shootboxing
Our UKSA Shootboxing syllabus offers a complete syllabus of striking, takedowns and standing submissions. It involves punches, elbows, kicks and knees to the head, body and legs, All takedowns, sweeps, trips, slams and throws are legal as are choking techniques, shoulder locks and arm locks from a standing position.
UK Shootboxing differs from the original Japanese Shootboxing in that there are no points in competition. In Japanese Shootboxing only clean hip throws will score a shoot point. All takedowns are legal but this means fighters use less of the vast amount of grappling techniques open to them because they don’t score.
However in UK Shootboxing fighters will use a greater array of grappling techniques because there are no points to score so all successful takedowns are worth executing which means fighters will display more of their grappling repertoire within competitive matches.
Matches are judged via successful techniques including strikes, takedowns, takedown defence, ring control and looking to finish the match.
Shootboxing as a combat sport is a fusion of Japanese Kickboxing/Thai boxing and is fused with Shoot wrestling techniques.
Not only is it one of the most explosive and dynamic combat sports in the world today due to the practical nature of its training and competition it also provides a highly effective system of unarmed self defence to its practitioners.

SVT Knockdown
SVT (Standing Vale Tudo) Knockdown is a fusion of Shootboxing and Kyokushin Karate. It is the most open ruleset for standing based martial arts available. It features everything previously outlined in UK Shootboxing but also features strikes such as headbutts, palm strikes, hammer fists and holding on to the uniform to strike, throw or submit the opponent.
It is an exciting, fast paced and explosive combat sport which makes for a great style of unarmed self defence.
SVT Knockdown also follows the 3 classes of participation system and these can be viewed on the official SVT Knockdown website along with all other information regarding this format.
