Why join the UKSA?

Here at the UKSA we want to cultivate UK Shootboxing and unite martial artists who are passionate about striking, takedowns and standing submissions.

We want to work with coaches, clubs, students and practitioners of all levels to grow our sport and art into something future generations will enjoy together.

We aim to provide a hub for all of us who share a passion for Japanese style Shootboxing to share together and to grow not only the sport but the art and practice of UK Shootboxing under a unified best practice.

We are a point of contact and support for coaches/clubs focusing on this style of training and competition.

We aim to put on honest, fair matches and events each year for all levels and to help our members gain experience safely in the right way.

We offer guidance and support to all members who are establishing or teaching their own syllabus in order to support their students and offer access to our own official UKSA syllabus material also.

Our flagship event FOTM (Fist of The MIdlands) provides an opportunity for all practitioners, clubs and members of the UKSA to come together and compete under UK Shootboxing, Kickboxing, Kyokushin and SVT Knockdown rulesets. This event caters for all levels of ability and gives our members an opportunity to work towards the only sanctioned UKSA titles in these rulesets and formats.

This event is special to us as there are no other events like it for Shootboxers and SVT Knockdown practitioners in the UK. The UKSA is the sole provider.

With this in mind we want to work with our coaches and clubs to further increase the frequency of competitive opportunities in the UK and we will support all coaches who wish to move into putting on their own shows/events for the good of UK Shootboxing and the other styles under our banner.

If you want the freedom to teach your art your own way, with support when you need it, with access to events without politics or bias and you can still be members of your current associations also then the UKSA is open to you.
